Cheryl Frankeny, PhD, is a partner and principal consultant with AVEAS L.L.C. She has 15 years of consulting experience. She specializes in organizational and individual performance consulting that targets executive and leadership team development, organizational alignment, talent management, succession planning, facilitation, team building, hiring/selection practices, and assessment techniques. She has worked on assignments nationally and internationally involving a wide range of employees—workers, front-line supervisors, managers, and executives. She has worked with numerous companies (including Chevron, BP, ConocoPhillips, Phillips 66, CITGO, Nynas, Sunoco, LyondellBasell, NCI, Riviana Foods, Powell Industries, and other global and mid-sized companies) facilitating, coaching, assessing, designing developmental paths, and training. Her sector background includes information technology, finance, oil and gas (upstream and downstream), operations, and manufacturing. She has also worked extensively in creating and implementing team development and coaching processes that target contextual leadership, team dynamics, intentional influence, persuasion, and effective communication. Her exceptional speaking and presentation skills, along with natural ability to create and maintain strong relationships and credibility with clients are particular strengths. Cheryl holds a PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology as well an M.A. in Communications.
Joe Baucum, M.S., is a partner and principal consultant with Aveas. He specializes in executive assessment and feedback, team development, facilitation, promotion, selection, management consulting, and training. He has worked nationally and internationally with a number of clients including BP, Chevron, CononcoPhillips, LyondellBasell, CITGO, NCI, Pacesetter, Texas Petrochemical, and Rivianna. Joe is a highly experienced assessor, with experience in coaching and providing feedback to managers, supervisors, and executives. Joe is an exceptional communicator, with 25 years of experience in creating and delivering high quality presentations and training sessions. He has superior capabilities in writing, public speaking, and team facilitation. He holds Masters of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Kansas State University.
